    This report is the ninth edition of the study of the silicate lump and liquid glass market in the EAEU/CIS countries.

    The purpose of the study is to analyze the silicate lump and liquid glass market - Russian and EAEU/CIS countries.

    The objects of the study are silicate lump (sodium and potassium-containing), liquid glass, powdered sodium metasilicates.

    This work is a desk study. The following sources of information were used: data from statistical committees of the EAEU countries (including Rosstat, the National Statistical Committee of the Republic of Belarus, the Bureau of National Statistics of the Agency for Strategic Planning and Reforms of the Republic of Kazakhstan); international UN databases (UNdata), World Bank, Eurostat; international and European trade data (UN Comtrade, Trade Map); the Federal Customs Service of the Russian Federation (until 2022); railway transportation statistics; SBIS database; annual and quarterly reports of issuers of securities; industry and regional press, conference materials, websites of enterprises-producers and consumers of the studied products; scientific and technical literature (elibrary, etc.), the FIPS patent database; the InfoMine database, etc.

    Chronological framework of the study: 1997-2024; forecast - 2025-2030/35.

    Geography of the study: Russian Federation - comprehensive detailed market analysis; the world, the Republic of Kazakhstan, Belarus - general retrospective market analysis.

    Distinctive features of this study are: the presence of a brief description of the world market of Na / K silicates; detailed characteristics of the feedstock (quality, supply directions, suppliers). The review contains detailed information on the market of silicate lumps and liquid glass in all EAEU / CIS countries (including Ukraine), whose contribution to the total output of the considered products in the post-Soviet space is quite noticeable. The forecast takes into account the situation on the market that may arise as a result of Russia's special operation on the territory of Ukraine.

    The review consists of 7 parts, contains 158 pages, including 42 figures, 75 tables and an appendix.

    The first chapter of the review provides a brief description of the world market of alkali metal silicates.

    The second chapter provides information on existing technologies for the production of silicate blocks and liquid glass, their features, the raw materials required for production and their quality. It also provides data on the main suppliers of raw materials (quartz sand and soda ash), supply directions and volumes.

    The third chapter is devoted to the production of silicate blocks, liquid glass and powdered metasilicates of potassium and sodium in the EAEU/CIS countries in 1997-2024. It provides the requirements of existing regulatory and technical documentation for the quality of soluble sodium silicate (silicate blocks) and liquid glass produced on its basis, statistics on the production of the products in question in the EAEU/CIS countries. It also describes the current state of the largest producers of sodium and potassium silicates.

    The fourth chapter of the review presents data on foreign trade operations of Russia and the EAEU/CIS countries with sodium and potassium silicates in 1999-2024.

    The fifth chapter presents information on the price level of sodium and potassium silicates on the domestic Russian market, and also analyzes data on changes in export-import prices for these products in Russia, Ukraine, Belarus and Kazakhstan in 1999-2024.

    The sixth chapter examines the consumption of sodium and potassium silicates in the EAEU/CIS. It presents the production-consumption balances of these products in Russia, Ukraine, Belarus and Kazakhstan, the industry and regional structure of consumption in Russia, describes the current state of the main industries consuming sodium and potassium silicates and the current state and development prospects of the largest consumer enterprises.

    The seventh chapter of the review presents a forecast for the development of the Russian market of soluble sodium and potassium silicates for the period up to 2030/35.

    The appendix provides addresses and contact information for the main enterprises producing sodium and potassium silicates in the EAEU countries.

    The target audience of the study:

    - participants in the silicate lump and liquid glass market – producers, consumers, traders;

    - potential investors.

    The proposed study claims to be a reference guide for marketing departments and decision-makers working in the alkali metal silicates market.
