This report is the ninth edition of the market research for barite products in Russia and the EAEU countries.
The purpose of the study is to analyze the barite products market.
The objects of study are barite ores, concentrates and weighting agents.
This work is a desk research. Data from the Federal State Statistics Service of the Russian Federation (Rosstat), statistics of railway transportation of the Russian Federation, Federal Customs Service of the Russian Federation, State Customs Service of Ukraine, Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan for Statistics were used as sources of information; UN databases, Infomine databases. Data from the industry and regional press, annual and quarterly reports of securities issuers, and Internet sites of enterprises producing barite concentrate and weighting agent were also involved.
Chronological scope of the study: 1999-2023; forecast – until 2030
Geography of the study: Russia and the countries of the EAEU (CIS) - a comprehensive detailed analysis of the market, the world - a brief description of the market.
Scope of the study: the report consists of 8 parts, contains 141 pages, including 51 tables, 43 figures and an appendix.
The first chapter of the report is devoted to a brief description of the current state of the global barite market. This section provides data on world barite reserves, barite production dynamics (1999-2022), the main producing countries, world barite trade and prices.
The second chapter of the report provides information on the mineral resource base of barite in the CIS. The main deposits of barite in Russia, Kazakhstan, and Georgia are described.
The third chapter of the report describes existing technologies for the production of barite concentrate and weighting agent, their features, as well as requirements for product quality.
The fourth chapter of the report is devoted to an analysis of the production of barite concentrate in the EAEU. This chapter provides data on the production volumes of barite concentrate in 1999-2023 and traces the dynamics of its production. The current state of the main enterprises producing barite concentrate is described.
The fifth chapter analyzes foreign trade transactions with barite products in Russia, Kazakhstan (in 2001-2023) and other CIS countries (in 2005-2022). Data on the volumes of exports and imports of the described products are provided, and the regional structure of supplies is assessed.
The sixth chapter of the report provides information on the price level for barite products on the Russian domestic market, and also analyzes data on changes in export-import prices for products from Russia and Kazakhstan in recent years.
The seventh chapter is devoted to assessing domestic consumption of barite concentrate in Russia, Kazakhstan and other CIS countries.
This section presents production-consumption balances, assesses the industry structure of barite concentrate consumption in Russia, and lists the main consumers and areas of use of these products.
The final, eighth chapter of the report describes the current trends in the development of the barite products market and provides a forecast for barite consumption in Russia for the period up to 2030.
The appendix to the report provides contact information for leading manufacturers and consumers of barite products.
Target audience of the study:
- participants in the barite products market – producers, consumers, traders;
- potential investors.
The proposed study claims to be a reference guide for marketing services and specialists making management decisions working in the barite products market.
