    This review is the sixth edition of the study of the hydrochloric acid market (synthetic and waste gas) in Russia and the EAEU countries (CIS).

    Market monitoring has been conducted since 2000.

    The purpose of the study is to analyze the Russian hydrochloric acid market.

    The object of research is hydrochloric acid, both synthetic and exhaust gas.

    This work is a desk study. The databases of the State Statistics Committee of the CIS, the Federal State Statistics Service of the Russian Federation (FSGS of the Russian Federation), the official statistics of railway transportation of the Russian Federation, and the customs statistics of Russia and Ukraine were used as sources of information. Materials of the UN database (UNdata), industry and regional press, annual and quarterly reports of securities issuers, websites of hydrochloric acid producers and consumers, as well as the Infomine database were also used.

    A feature of this review is the division of hydrochloric acid according to the method of production (synthetic and off-gas) and a detailed study of each type of this chemical.

    Timeline of the study: 1997-2022; forecast - 2023-2030

    Research geography: The Russian Federation - a comprehensive detailed market analysis, other EAEU countries - a brief retrospective analysis.

    The review consists of 6 chapters, contains 104 pages, including 51 tables, 35 figures and an appendix.

    The first chapter of the report provides information about the raw materials needed for the production of hydrochloric acid, its characteristics. Also in this chapter, the technology for the production of hydrochloric acid is considered in detail. In addition, data on the main suppliers of raw materials, directions and volumes of supplies are given.

    The second chapter of the report is devoted to the production of hydrochloric acid (divided into synthetic and off-gas) in the EAEU countries. This section of the report provides statistical and estimated data on the production of hydrochloric acid in the CIS in 1997-2022. In addition, the quality indicators of the products obtained are given. Also here is a description of the largest producers of acid.

    The third chapter of the report provides data on foreign trade operations with hydrochloric acid in Russia, Ukraine and the EAEU countries (supply volumes, main suppliers and consumers of hydrochloric acid) in 1997-2022.

    The fourth chapter provides information on the level of prices in the domestic Russian market, as well as analyzes data on changes in export-import prices for products in Russia and Ukraine.

    The fifth chapter of the report examines the consumption of hydrochloric acid in Russia and Ukraine. This section presents the balance of production and consumption of these products, the sectoral structure of consumption in Russia, shows the main consumers, and describes the current state and prospects for the development of the largest consumer sectors.

    The sixth chapter of the report provides a forecast for the development of the Russian hydrochloric acid market for the period up to 2030.

    The appendix contains the addresses and contact information of enterprises producing hydrochloric acid in the EAEU countries.

    Target audience of the study:

    - participants in the hydrochloric acid market - producers, consumers, traders;

    - potential investors.

    The proposed study claims to be a reference tool for marketing services and professionals working in the hydrochloric acid market.
