This report analyzes the current condition and prospects of development of the market of ammonium nitrate for the production of industrial explosives and market of drilling and blasting at the open cast mining in Russia. The report consists of four chapters, contains 62 pages including 20 tables and 10 figures. This work is a desk study. As information sources, data of Rosstat, Rostekhnadzor, official statistics of rail transport sector and regional press, annual and quarterly reports of companies, as well as web-sites of mining companies and manufacturers of industrial explosives were used.
In the first chapter of the report a brief description of the current market of ammonium nitrate production of industrial explosives is provided. Requirements for quality of ammonium nitrate, used for these purposes are given, as well as statistics of production of ammonium nitrate in Russia in 2005-2007; the current position of the main suppliers of ammonium nitrate for the manufacture of industrial explosives is described, dynamics and structure of the supply of ammonium nitrate for the manufacture of industrial explosives is presented.
The second chapter analyzes the market of drilling and blasting operations in Russia. The data on consumption pattern and mix of industrial explosives used are given, drilling and drilling and blasting operations volumes in Russia in 2005-2007 are estimated, as well as their sectoral and regional structure.
In the third chapter of the report the current position of enterprises which carry out drilling and blasting in open pit mining is described.
In the fourth, final chapter perspectives of the market of ammonium nitrate for the manufacture of industrial explosives and drilling and blasting market in Russia are assessed.
