This report is the 4th edition of a study of the market for ferronickel and nickel master alloys in the CIS.
The purpose of the study is to analyze the market of ferronickel and nickel ligatures in the CIS and forecast its development.
The uniqueness of the study lies in the fact that in the market for marketing research in Russia, the ferronickel market in conjunction with nickel ligatures is not considered by anyone except the IG Infomine.
This work is a desk study. The sources of information included data from Rosstat, the Federal Customs Service of the Russian Federation, the State Committee on Statistics of Ukraine, materials of the sectoral and regional press, annual and quarterly reports of manufacturers of the products in question, Internet sites of manufacturers and consumers of titanium powders, scientific and technical literature, database of accounting reports of organizations of the Russian Federation, UN database, Infomine database.
The chronological framework of the study: 2002-2018.
Geography of research: CIS (Russia and Ukraine) - a comprehensive analysis of the market, the world and the rest of the CIS countries are considered fragmentary.
Scope of research: the report consists of 8 parts, contains 51 pages, including 24 tables, 13 figures and 1 annex.
The first chapter of the report is devoted to an overview of the ferronickel trade flows in the world. This section presents data on the main exporting countries and importers of ferronickel in 2002-2018, shows the dynamics of prices for supplied ferronickel and nickel prices during these years.
The second chapter of the report is devoted to the characteristics of raw materials for the production of ferronickel in Russia and the CIS.
The third chapter of the report describes the technologies for producing ferronickel from both nickel ores and nickel-containing secondary waste, in addition, the chapter gives requirements for the quality of the produced ferronickel.
The fourth chapter of the report is devoted to the production of ferronickel in the CIS. This section presents data on the production of this product in 2002-2018 in Russia and Ukraine. Also in this chapter, the current state of the leading players in the ferronickel market in the CIS is analyzed, their production volumes are given.
In the fifth chapter foreign trade operations of Russia and Ukraine with ferronickel are analyzed. The data on the volumes of export and import of the studied products in natural and monetary terms are given, the regional structure of deliveries is shown, and data on the main exporting companies are presented. Also shows the dynamics of prices for ferronickel exported from Russia and Ukraine.
The sixth chapter is devoted to the market of nickel ligatures in Russia. This section presents the Russian producers of this type of products, their nomenclature, as well as export-import operations of the Russian Federation with nickel ligatures in 2014-2018.
In the seventh chapter of the report devoted to the consumption of ferronickel, the balance of production and consumption of these products in Russia is given, the dynamics of the "apparent" consumption of ferronickel are estimated.
The eighth and final chapter of the report is devoted to the forecast of ferronickel production in Russia and Ukraine until 2025.
The appendices provide contact information for the main enterprises producing ferronickel and nickel master alloys.
Target audience of the study:
- market participants of nickel, ferronickel, nickel ligatures, stainless steel - producers, consumers, traders;
- potential investors.
The proposed study claims to be a reference tool for professionals working in the ferronickel market and making management decisions.
