    This report is the eighth edition of the study of the tin concentrate and tin metal markets in Russia, the EAEU countries, and globally. Market monitoring has been conducted since 1996.

    The objective of the study is to analyze the tin market—global, Russian, and in the EAEU countries—as well as its value chains in the non-ferrous metallurgy, ferrous metallurgy, and glass industries.

    The objects of the study are tin ore, tin concentrate, and tin metal.

    This work is a desk study. The following sources of information were used: data from statistical committees of the EAEU countries (including Rosstat, the National Statistical Committee of the Republic of Belarus, the Bureau of National Statistics of the Agency for Strategic Planning and Reforms of the Republic of Kazakhstan); international databases of the UN (UNdata), World Bank, Eurostat; international and European trade data (UN Comtrade, Trade Map); the Federal Customs Service of the Russian Federation (until 2022); the Unified Information System in Procurement; rail transportation statistics; SBIS databases; foreign specialized companies; annual and quarterly reports of securities issuers; industry and regional press, conference materials, websites of manufacturers and consumers of the products under study; scientific and technical literature (e.g., elibrary), the Federal Institute of Industrial Property (FIPS) patent database; the InfoMine database, etc.

    Research timeframe: 1996-2025; forecast: 2026-2030.

    Research geography: Russian Federation – comprehensive, detailed market analysis; EAEU countries, rest of the world – general retrospective market analysis.

    The report consists of 8 parts and contains 105 pages, including 35 tables, 28 figures, and an appendix.

    The first chapter of the report provides a brief overview of the global tin market (reserves, mining, production, producing countries, prices).

    The second chapter is devoted to the status of the tin mineral resource base in the EAEU countries, presenting the reserve structure and characteristics of the main deposits.

    The third chapter presents data on tin ore and placer tin mining and tin concentrate production in the EAEU. This section describes the current status of the main tin mining enterprises in the EAEU, as well as enterprises that were active in previous years but subsequently ceased tin mining, and new tin mining projects within the EAEU.

    Information on the production of tin metal and tin-based alloys in the EAEU is presented in the fourth chapter. The current status of the main tin producer in the EAEU, Novosibirsk Tin Plant LLC, is also described.

    Chapter 5 presents data on foreign trade transactions with tin concentrates and metallic tin in Russia (1996-2025), Kazakhstan (2007-2025), and other EAEU countries (2007-2025).

    Chapter 6 describes domestic Russian prices for metallic tin, as well as export and import prices for tin concentrate and metallic tin in Russia from 1995-2025.

    Chapter 7 examines tin consumption in the EAEU (Russia and Kazakhstan). This section presents the production-consumption balance, the sectoral structure of consumption, and the current status of the largest consuming enterprises in the Russian Federation.

    Chapter 8 of the report presents a forecast for the tin market in the EAEU through 2030.

    The appendix provides addresses and contact information for the main Russian producers of tin concentrates, tin, and its alloys, and consumers.

    The target audience of the study is:

    - market participants in tin concentrate, metallic tin, and its downstream consumption chains (tinplate, float glass, solders, and alloys) – producers, consumers, and traders;

    - potential investors.

    This study is intended to serve as a reference tool for marketing departments and decision-makers working in the tin-containing products market.
