This report is a study of the coal market in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The purpose of the study is to obtain detailed information about the current state and prospects for the development of the coal market in the Republic of Kazakhstan in order to understand the market situation.
The object of the study is coal - black and brown.
Timeline of the study: 2017-2021
Geography of the study: Republic of Kazakhstan - a comprehensive detailed analysis of the market.
This work is a desk study. Data from the Bureau of National Statistics of the Agency for Strategic Planning and Reforms of the Republic of Kazakhstan, railway transportation statistics of the Russian Federation, the Federal Customs Service of the Russian Federation, the UN database, the Infomine database were used as sources of information. The data of industry and regional press, annual and quarterly reports of issuers of securities, Internet sites of coal producing enterprises were also involved.
Scope of the study: the report consists of 4 parts, contains 60 pages, including 24 tables and 11 figures.
The first chapter of the report is devoted to the analysis of coal production in the Republic of Kazakhstan in 2017-2021. This section provides data on the dynamics and volumes of coal production by type, as well as by region.
The second chapter describes the current state of the largest coal mining enterprises of the Republic of Kazakhstan; data on the ownership structure of companies, volumes and grades of mined coal, the main consumers of solid fuel are given.
The third chapter of the report analyzes the export supplies of coal from the Republic of Kazakhstan in 2017-2021. Data on the volumes and directions of coal exports by types are given, the main consumers in the Russian Federation, the key importer of Kazakh coal, are identified.
The fourth chapter of the report is devoted to coal consumption in the Republic of Kazakhstan in 2017-2021. This chapter presents the balance of production and consumption of coal, assesses the structure of consumption in the main areas of coal use in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
