This report is the twelfth edition of the Russian proppant market study.
The objective of the study is to analyze the proppants market.
The object of the study is proppants.
Research timeframe: 2000-2025; forecast – to 2030.
Research geography: Russia – comprehensive detailed market analysis; global – brief description.
This work is a desk study. The following sources of information were used: data from statistical committees of the EAEU countries (including Rosstat, the National Statistical Committee of the Republic of Belarus, the Bureau of National Statistics of the Agency for Strategic Planning and Reforms of the Republic of Kazakhstan); international databases of the UN (UNdata), World Bank, Eurostat; international and European trade data (UN Comtrade, Trade Map); the Federal Customs Service of the Russian Federation (until 2022); the Unified Information System in Procurement; rail transportation statistics; the SBIS database; foreign specialized companies; annual and quarterly reports of securities issuers; Industry and regional press, conference materials, websites of manufacturers and consumers of the products under study; scientific and technical literature (e.g., elibrary), the Federal Institute of Industrial Property (FIPS) patent database; the InfoMine database, etc.
Scope of the study: The report consists of 7 parts and contains 172 pages, including 60 tables, 43 figures, and 2 appendices.
The first chapter of the report is devoted to a brief description of the current state of the global proppants market. This section presents data on proppant production volumes and the main global producers.
The second chapter presents data on the types and quality requirements of proppants.
The third chapter of the report is devoted to an analysis of proppant production in Russia. It presents data on proppant production volumes from 2000 to 2025 and describes the current status of proppant manufacturing companies, including information on product characteristics, supply volumes, and delivery routes.
Chapter four of the report analyzes Russian companies' foreign trade operations with proppants from 2000 to 2025. It presents data on supply volumes, the main exporters and importers of the products under study, and assesses the regional supply structure.
Chapter five analyzes proppant prices on the domestic Russian market and analyzes the dynamics of export and import prices for these products from 2003 to 2023.
Chapter six assesses domestic proppant consumption in Russia. This chapter presents the production-consumption balance for the product from 2000 to 2025 and assesses the regional consumption structure. It also provides information on proppant shipment volumes to major Russian recipients. This chapter provides a detailed description of the largest Russian proppant consumers.
The final, seventh chapter of the report describes the main trends in the proppant market development and provides a forecast for production and consumption of this product in Russia through 2030.
The appendices to the report provide contact information for leading Russian proppant manufacturers and major consumers.
Target audience of the study:
- proppant market participants – producers, consumers, and traders;
- potential investors.
This study is intended to serve as a reference guide for marketing departments and decision-makers working in this market.
