This report is the sixth edition of the study of the ferrochrome market in Russia, Kazakhstan and the world.
Market monitoring has been conducted since 1995.
The purpose of the study is to analyze the ferrochrome market of the Russian Federation, the Republic of Kazakhstan and the world.
The object of the study is ferrochrome.
The presented work is a desk study. The following databases were used as sources of information: UNdata, Statistical Committees of the CIS countries (including Rosstat, the State Statistics Service of Ukraine, the Statistics Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan), customs statistics of the Russian Federation and Ukraine, official statistics of rail transportation of the Russian Federation; the Mosaic database (2022), materials from the industry and regional press, annual and quarterly reports of issuers of securities, websites of enterprises-producers and consumers of chrome raw materials, as well as the InfoMine database.
The chronological framework of the study: 1995-2024; forecast - 2025-2030.
Research geography: Russian Federation, Republic of Kazakhstan (detailed analysis), other countries (foreign trade volumes).
The report consists of 8 parts, contains 121 pages, including 34 tables, 41 figures and 2 appendices.
The first chapter of the report presents data on the development of the world market of chrome raw materials in 2001-2024. Information on leading producers of chrome raw materials is analyzed, information on the production volumes of commercial chrome raw materials, directions and volumes of foreign trade in this type of raw materials, as well as the price level is presented.
The situation on the world ferrochrome market is analyzed. Data on the world production of stainless steels for the period up to 2023, on the volumes of import of high-carbon ferrochrome by China from individual countries, world export and import of high-carbon ferrochrome are presented.
The second chapter of the report is devoted to the analysis of raw materials for the production of ferrochrome, production technology and the quality of ferrochrome in the CIS.
The third chapter of the report presents data on ferrochrome production in the CIS in 1995-2024.
The fourth chapter of the study analyzes the status of the main ferrochrome producers in Russia and Kazakhstan in 1995-2024.
The fifth chapter of the report analyzes the export and import of ferrochrome in the CIS. It presents data on the volumes of export and import of ferrochrome in Russia and Kazakhstan. It shows the main directions of Russian ferrochrome export by region and individual countries. It analyzes the export of ferrochrome from Kazakhstan to individual countries, and also shows the import of ferrochrome by other CIS countries.
The sixth chapter of the report presents information on ferrochrome prices in Russia, as well as export-import prices of Russia for ferrochrome in 2010-2024.
The seventh chapter of the report is devoted to the analysis of ferrochrome consumption in Russia, the production-consumption balance of ferrochrome in the Russian Federation in 1998-2024 is given, the main sectors of ferrochrome consumption in the Russian Federation are considered.
The eighth and final chapter of the report presents a forecast for ferrochrome production in the CIS for the period up to 2030.
The appendices provide addresses and contact information of the main companies-producers and consumers of chrome raw materials and ferrochrome.
