    This report is the first edition of a study of the xylene market globally and in the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) countries.

    The objective of the study is to analyze the xylene market in Russia, the EAEU countries (which, in addition to Russia, include Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan), and the global market for this product.

    The object of the study is xylene, an aromatic compound (1,2-benzenedicarboxylic anhydride C6H4(CO)2O).

    This work is a desk study. The following sources of information were used: data from statistical committees of the EAEU countries (including Rosstat, the National Statistical Committee of the Republic of Belarus, the Bureau of National Statistics of the Agency for Strategic Planning and Reforms of the Republic of Kazakhstan); international databases of the UN (UNdata), World Bank, Eurostat; international and European trade data (UN Comtrade, Trade Map); the Unified Information System in Procurement; rail transportation statistics; the SBIS database; foreign specialized companies; annual and quarterly reports of securities issuers; Industry and regional press, conference materials, websites of companies producing and consuming the products under study; scientific and technical literature (e.g., elibrary), the Federal Institute of Industrial Property (FIPS) patent database; the InfoMine database, etc.

    Research timeframe: 2015-2025; 2026 estimate; 2027-2036 forecast.

    Research geography: Russia – comprehensive, detailed market analysis; global and EAEU countries – general retrospective market analysis.

    The report consists of 7 parts and contains 132 pages, including 31 figures, 35 tables, and 2 appendices.

    The first chapter is devoted to the global xylene market. This section presents data on capacity, international trade in this product, sales prices, consumption, and the development prospects of the global xylene market.

    Chapter two presents information on xylene production technologies used in industry, production capacity for this product in the EAEU, and the main types of raw materials used for its production.

    Chapter three analyzes xylene production in the EAEU. It presents product quality requirements, traces production dynamics, and provides data on production volumes from 2015 to 2025. Leading manufacturers and their current status are described.

    Chapter four analyzes foreign trade transactions with xylene in Russia and the EAEU countries from 2015 to 2025. Data on export and import volumes of the product under study is presented, the geographic structure of supplies is presented, and information on individual xylene exporters and importers is analyzed.

    Chapter five presents information on the price of xylene on the Russian domestic market and analyzes data on changes in export and import prices for the product in Russia from 2015 to 2025.

    Chapter six is devoted to xylene consumption in Russia. This section presents the production and consumption balance of the product under study, presents its application structure in Russia, examines the main areas of xylene use, and describes the largest consumer companies.

    The seventh and final chapter is devoted to the forecast for xylene production and consumption in Russia through 2036.

    The appendices provide contact information for Russian xylene producers, as well as the largest consumers of this product who process third-party products.

    Target audience of the study:

    – xylene market participants and raw materials for this product;

    – potential investors.

    This study is intended to serve as a reference tool for marketing departments and decision-makers working in the chemical market.
