This report is the twelfth edition of the study of the activated carbon market in the CIS.
The purpose of the study is to analyze the current state of the activated carbon market in the CIS and forecast its development for the period up to 2030.
The object of research is activated carbon.
Timeframe of the study: 2001-2022, 2023-2030 - forecast.
Research geography: Russian Federation, CIS countries and the world market - a comprehensive detailed market analysis, other countries - a brief analysis.
The difference between this work and the studies currently presented on the Russian market is a wider geographical and time frame - the market was studied not only in Russia, but in the CIS and other countries of the world in the period from 2001 to 2022.
It should be noted that at present, not all manufacturers of activated carbon in Russia provide reports on the volume of production of their products to the Federal State Statistics Service of the Russian Federation (Rosstat). A number of marketing studies devoted to the study of the activated carbon market consider only official statistics. This report provides a more accurate assessment of the current situation in the activated carbon market, as information is provided, including on enterprises that do not report to the Federal State Statistics Service of the Russian Federation.
In addition, the report provides detailed data on the quality characteristics of activated carbons produced by Russian manufacturers.
Also, this report contains a brief description of the global market of activated carbons - data on the volume of production and consumption of these products. Trade operations with activated carbon are considered, the world's largest exporters and importers are identified, the dynamics of prices for activated carbon in the period 2010-2022 is studied.
The report consists of 8 parts, contains 204 pages, including 69 tables, 37 figures and 2 appendices.
This work is a desk study. As sources of information, data from the Federal State Statistics Service of the Russian Federation (Rosstat), the Federal Customs Service of the Russian Federation, the statistics of railway transportation of the Russian Federation, the State Customs Service of Ukraine, the State Committee on Statistics of the CIS countries, industry and regional press, as well as Internet sites of enterprises producing activated carbon were used. In addition, while working on the report, telephone interviews were conducted with market participants.
The first chapter of the report is devoted to a brief overview of the global activated carbon market.
The second chapter describes the technology for the production of activated carbon, its properties, provides data on the raw materials used in the production of activated carbon, as well as equipment for production.
The third chapter of the report provides data on the production of activated carbon in the CIS in 2001-2022.
The fourth chapter is devoted to the production of activated carbon in Russia, it provides information on the current state of enterprises producing activated carbon - production volumes and characteristics of products, directions and volumes of supplies, as well as the main financial and economic indicators of enterprises.
The fifth chapter of the report analyzes data on foreign economic transactions with activated carbon in Russia (2001-2022), Ukraine (2001-2022), Belarus (2004-2021) and Kazakhstan (2005-2022). The main directions and volumes of deliveries of these products are determined.
The sixth chapter of the report presents data on the dynamics of domestic prices for activated carbon in Russia in 2010-2022, as well as changes in export-import prices in Russia (2001-2022) and Ukraine (2001-2022).
The seventh chapter of the report is devoted to the analysis of domestic consumption of activated carbon in Russia in 2001-2022. It shows the balance of production and consumption of activated carbon, considers the sectoral structure of consumption, and identifies the largest consumers of this product. Also in this chapter, the balance of consumption of activated carbon in Ukraine is given.
The final, eighth chapter of the report provides a forecast for the production and consumption of activated carbon in Russia until 2030.
Appendix 1 contains the technical characteristics of activated carbons of some Russian manufacturers.
Appendix 2 contains the addresses and contact information of manufacturers and consumers of activated carbon in the CIS.
Target audience of the study:
- participants in the activated carbon market - manufacturers, consumers, traders;
- potential investors.
The proposed study claims to be a reference tool for marketing services and management decision makers working in the activated carbon market.
