    This report is the second edition of a study of the adipic acid (AA) market globally and in the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) countries.

    The objective of the study is to analyze the adipic acid market in Russia, the EAEU countries (which, in addition to Russia, include Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan), the dioctyl adipate (DOA) market in Russia, and the global markets for these products.

    The object of the study is adipic acid, an organic compound belonging to the class of dibasic dicarboxylic acids (1,4-butanedicarboxylic acid, hexanedioic acid C6H10O4).

    This work is a desk study. The following sources of information were used: data from statistical committees of the EAEU countries (including Rosstat, the National Statistical Committee of the Republic of Belarus, the Bureau of National Statistics of the Agency for Strategic Planning and Reforms of the Republic of Kazakhstan); international databases of the UN (UNdata), World Bank, Eurostat; international and European trade data (UN Comtrade, Trade Map); Unified Procurement Information System; railway transportation statistics; the SBiS database; foreign specialized companies; annual and quarterly reports of securities issuers; industry and regional press, conference materials, websites of companies manufacturing and consuming the products under study; scientific and technical literature (e.g., elibrary), the Federal Institute of Industrial Property (FIPS) patent database; the InfoMine database, etc.

    Research timeframe: 2015-2025; forecast: 2026-2036.

    Research geography: Russia – comprehensive, detailed market analysis; global and EAEU countries – general retrospective market analysis.

    The report consists of 7 parts and contains 105 pages, including 31 figures, 25 tables, and 1 appendix.

    The first chapter is devoted to the global adipic acid market. This section presents data on capacity, international trade in this product, its selling prices, consumption, and the development prospects of the global adipic acid market. The dioctyl adipate (DOA) plasticizer segment is separately highlighted and discussed.

    Chapter two presents information on the industrial technologies used to produce adipic acid, the production capacity of this product in the EAEU, and the main types of raw materials used for its production.

    Chapter three analyzes adipic acid production in the EAEU. It presents product quality requirements, describes upcoming production projects, and describes their current status.

    Chapter four analyzes foreign trade transactions with adipic acid in Russia and the EAEU countries from 2015 to 2025. It presents data on the export and import volumes of the studied products, presents the geographic structure of supplies, and analyzes information on individual exporters and importers of adipic acid.

    Chapter five presents information on the price of adipic acid on the Russian domestic market and analyzes data on changes in export and import prices for the product in Russia from 2015 to 2025.

    Chapter six is devoted to adipic acid consumption in Russia. This section presents the production and consumption balance of the studied product, presents its application structure in Russia, examines the main areas of adipic acid use, and describes the largest consumer companies. The dioctyl adipate (DOA) plasticizer segment is separately highlighted and discussed.

    The seventh and final chapter is devoted to the forecast for adipic acid production and consumption in Russia through 2036.

    The appendices provide contact information for Russian adipic acid producers, as well as the largest consumers of this product who process third-party products.

    Target audience of the study:

    – market participants in adipic acid and raw materials for this product;

    – potential investors.

    The proposed study aims to serve as a reference guide for marketing departments and management decision-makers working in the chemical products market.
