This report is the ninth edition of the study of the glass sands market in the CIS countries.
Market monitoring has been conducted since 2003.
The purpose of the study is to analyze the market for quartz glass raw materials in Russia, Ukraine and Belarus.
The objects of study are quartz glass sands.
The work is a desk study. As sources of information, data from the Federal State Statistics Service of the Russian Federation (Rosstat), statistics on railway transportation of the Russian Federation, the Federal Customs Service of the Russian Federation, the State Customs Service of Ukraine (data on foreign trade operations), data from the State Committee on Statistics of Ukraine (SCS of Ukraine), the UNdata database, Committee on Statistics of Belarus, Infomine database. The data of industry and regional press, annual and quarterly reports of issuers of securities, Internet sites of enterprises producing glass raw materials, as well as telephone interviews were also involved.
Chronological scope of the study: 2000-2022; forecast - 2023-2030
Research geography: Russia, Ukraine and Belarus - a comprehensive detailed market analysis.
Scope of the study: the report consists of 8 parts, contains 182 pages, including 66 tables, 37 figures and 2 appendices.
The first chapter of the report provides information on glass sand reserves in Russia, Ukraine and Belarus.
The second chapter of the report is devoted to an overview of existing technologies for the enrichment of quartz sands and the requirements for the quality of commercial products.
The third chapter of the report provides data on the volumes of extraction and production of glass sands in Russia, Ukraine and Belarus in 2000-2022.
The fourth chapter is devoted to the description of the current state of the main producers of glass sands in Russia, Ukraine and Belarus. It contains data on production volumes, characteristics of products, directions and volumes of deliveries, as well as plans for further development of production. A description of the projects of enterprises for the extraction of sands is also given.
The fifth chapter of the report analyzes data on foreign trade operations with glass sands from Russia, Ukraine, Belarus.
The sixth chapter presents the current prices for glass sands in Russia, as well as the dynamics of changes in export-import prices for products in 2005-2022.
The seventh chapter of the report is devoted to the analysis of domestic consumption of glass sands in Russia, Ukraine and Belarus. This section also provides the sectoral structure of sand consumption in Russia, data on the directions and volumes of supplies, and describes the current state of the largest Russian consumers.
The final, eighth chapter of the report provides a forecast for the production and consumption of glass sands in Russia until 2030.
The appendices contain addresses and contact information of the main producers and consumers of glass sands.
