    This report is the eighth edition of the study of glass sands market in the CIS.

    The market has been monitored since 2003.

    The purpose of the study is to analyze the market for quartz glass raw materials in Russia, Ukraine and Belarus.

    The objects of the study are quartz glass sands.

    The work is a desk study. Data from the Federal State Statistics Service of the Russian Federation (Rosstat), railway transport statistics of the Russian Federation, the Federal Customs Service of the Russian Federation, the State Customs Service of Ukraine (data on foreign trade operations), data from the State Committee on Statistics of Ukraine (GKS of Ukraine), the UNdata Database, the Committee on Statistics of Belarus, Infomine database were used as sources of information. Data from the industry and regional press, annual and quarterly reports of securities issuers, Internet sites of glass raw materials manufacturers, as well as telephone interviews were also used.

     

    Chronological framework of the study: 2000-2020; forecast - 2021-2030.

    Geography of the study: Russia, Ukraine and Belarus - a comprehensive detailed market analysis.

    Scope of the study: the report consists of 8 Chapters, contains 178 pages, including 66 Tables, 37 Figures and 2 Appendices.

     

    The first chapter of the report provides information on glass sands in Russia, Ukraine, and Belarus.

    The second chapter of the report is devoted to a review of existing quartz sands enrichment technologies and requirements for the quality of marketable products.

    The third chapter of the report provides data on the volumes of extraction and production of glass sands in Russia, Ukraine and Belarus in 2000-2020.

    The fourth chapter is devoted to the description of the current state of the main producers of glass sands in Russia, Ukraine and Belarus. It contains data on production volumes, characteristics of manufactured products, directions and volumes of supplies, as well as plans for further development of production. A description of the projects of the sands mining enterprises is also given.

    The fifth chapter of the report analyzes data on foreign trade operations with glass sands of Russia, Ukraine, and Belarus.

    The sixth chapter presents the current prices for glass sands in Russia, as well as the dynamics of changes in export and import prices for products in 2005-2020.

    The seventh chapter of the report is devoted to the analysis of domestic consumption of glass sands in Russia, Ukraine and Belarus. Also, this section presents the industry structure of the sand consumption in Russia, data on the directions and volumes of supplies, and the current state of the largest Russian consumers.

    The final, eighth chapter of the report provides a forecast of the production and consumption of glass sands in Russia until 2030.

    Appendices contain the addresses and contact information of the main manufacturers and consumers of glass sands.
