    The purpose of the study is to analyze the table salt market in Russia and the CIS countries.

    The object of study is technical salt, as well as brine obtained by chemical and potash companies. All data on brine extraction volumes are given in terms of a solid product.

    This work is a desk study. As sources of information, data from Rosstat, the Federal Customs Service of the Russian Federation, the official statistics of railway transportation of the Russian Federation, the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan on Statistics, the SSC of Ukraine were used; data from the UNdata database, industry and regional press, annual and quarterly reports of securities issuers, as well as websites of salt producers.

    Timeline of the study: 2012-2021; forecast - 2022-2030

    Research geography: Russian Federation, Belarus, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan.

    The review consists of 9 parts, contains 98 pages, including 53 tables, 17 figures and 2 appendices.

    The first chapter gives a brief description of salt deposits in the CIS countries.

    The second chapter presents the qualitative characteristics of industrial salt in the CIS.

    The third chapter is devoted to the extraction and production of industrial table salt in the CIS and Russia in 2008-2021.

    The fourth chapter describes the main Russian companies producing technical salt.

    The fifth chapter of the section describes foreign trade operations with industrial table salt in Russia for the period 2012-2021. Statistical data on the volume of foreign trade operations, the regional structure of exports and imports of technical sodium chloride are given.

    The sixth chapter provides a price analysis of the Russian technical salt market, including prices depending on the purpose of the product under study, export-import prices in 2012-2021 are presented.

    The seventh chapter presents the balance of production and consumption of technical salt in the Russian Federation, considers the structure of consumption, describes the main industries for the consumption of technical salt.

    The eighth chapter is devoted to the technical salt market in other CIS countries and Ukraine. The volumes of salt extraction, production and consumption of technical salt are presented, the structure of consumption of technical salt is given.

    The ninth chapter provides a forecast for the development of the industrial table salt market in the Russian Federation / CIS for the period up to 2030.

    The appendices contain a list of enterprises engaged in salt mining in the CIS countries and Ukraine, and a map of the location of the largest common salt deposits in the CIS.

    Target audience of the study:

    - participants in the table salt market - producers, consumers, traders;

    - potential investors.
