    The present report is the fifth edition of research of the market of antimony and its compounds in Russia and the CIS countries.

    The research objective is the analysis of the market of antimony and its compounds.

    The object of research is antimony and its compounds.

    This work is desk research. Sources of information were data of the Federal State Statistics Service of the Russian Federation (FSGS, Rosstat), the statistics of rail transportation of the Russian Federation, of the Federal Customs Service of the Russian Federation, of Goskomstat of Ukraine, of the Public customs service of Ukraine, of the Statistics Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan, of the database UNdata, USGS, and of the Infomine database. In addition, data of the industry and regional press, annual and quarterly reports of issuers of securities, as well as the websites of the manufacturing enterprises and consumers of antimony have been employed.

    Chronological framework of research: 1997-2016; the forecast – until 2020.

    Geography of research: Russia, Ukraine – the detailed analysis of the market; the brief review of the market of the CIS countries – Kazakhstan, Tajikistan.

    Research volume: the report consists of 7 parts, contains 108 pages, including 39 Tables, 41 Figures and 1 Appendix.

    Chapter 1 of the report is devoted to the brief characteristic of the world market of antimony, data on world reserves of antimony, on production of antimony in concentrates, on the main manufacturing countries and consumers, and also on the world prices for antimony in 1996-2016. Special attention is paid to export-import transactions of the countries of the world with antimonial concentrates, antimony trioxide and metal antimony.

    Chapter 2 of the report describes in detail the antimony mineral resources in the CIS (Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan), data on stocks and the main deposits.

    Chapter 3 provides data on production and processing of antimony raw materials with manufacturing commodity products. This section gives dynamics of output of antimony in concentrate in the CIS and of commodity antimony products (1994-2016), the characteristic of technologies of receiving antimony products and the requirement to their quality. Besides, the description is provided of the main enterprises releasing antimony concentrates and commodity antimony in the CIS countries (Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan).

    Chapter 4 presents the characteristics of the new projects directed to release of antimony products by the enterprises of the CIS.

    Chapter 5 is devoted to the foreign trade operations (2001-2016) with antimony products (the concentrate, antimony trioxide, metal antimony) by the CIS countries (Russia, Ukraine, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, Belarus). This chapter analyzes the export-import prices of the considered products.

    Chapter 6 describes the consumption of antimony and its compounds in the Russia/the CIS. This chapter gives the dynamics of consumption of antimony in Russia (2001-2016), data on structure of consumption of antimony (taking into account a secondary metal) in Russia, and the consumers of the considered products. Volumes of consumption of antimony in the CIS countries (Ukraine, Kazakhstan), and the main companies-consumers are also shown.

    The final chapter 7 describes the existing tendencies of development of the market of antimony and its compounds in the CIS and gives the forecast of production of antimony in concentrate by the CIS countries for the period until 2020.

    The Appendix presents addresses and contact information of the enterprises releasing antimony products.

    Target audience of research:

    - participants of the market of fluoride salts of aluminum – producers, consumers, traders;

    - potential investors.

    The offered research may be considered as a handbook for the marketing services and for experts making administrative decisions at this market.
