This report is the second edition of the coal char from brown coalin Russia and the world.
The purpose of the study is to analyze the semi-coke market from brown coals, as well as products that are substitutes for the raw materials under investigation.
The objects of the study are char, obtained from brown coals, as well as semi-coke from coals. In addition, markets for activated carbon and coke products (coke fines and coke nut), which are semi-coke substitutes, have been explored. Also, information was analyzed about the extraction and export operations with coals of T and SS grades, which are also competitors of semi-coke.
This work is a desk study. As sources of information, we used data from the Federal State Statistics Service, the Federal Customs Service of the Russian Federation, the statistics of railway transportation of the Russian Federation, and the State Customs Service of Ukraine; data base UNdata, industry and regional press, annual and quarterly reports of securities issuers, as well as Internet sites of semi-coke producers.
Chronological framework of the study: 2007-2017; forecast - up to 2025
Geography of the study: Russian Federation; the rest of the world - general information about the dynamics and characteristics of the market.
The report consists of 7 parts, contains 97 pages, including 20 figures, 22 tables and 2 annexes.
In the first chapter of the report the main trends of development of extraction and use of brown coals in Russia are considered.
The second chapter of the report is devoted to the history of semi-coke production in the world and Russia.
The third chapter provides information on the global production of semi-coke.
In the fourth chapter of the report, the current status of the main semi-coke coal producers from brown and hard coal in Russia is described, quantitative and qualitative characteristics of the products at each enterprise are presented. In addition, a project has been described for the production of semi-coke in the Karakan coal cluster (Kemerovo region).
In the fifth chapter of the report the description of technology of semi-coke production of the company "Termokoks" is given.
In the sixth chapter of the report, the capacity of the semi-coke market is considered. Particular attention is paid to the state of the coke industry market and the activated carbon market in Russia.
In the seventh chapter of the report, the conclusions and the forecast of the development of the Russian semi-coke market for the period up to 2025 are given.
The annexes provide targeted and contact information for the main enterprises producing and consuming semi-coke in the CIS countries.
The target audience of the study:
- participants in the semi-coke market and chains of its further consumption (production of ferroalloys, non-ferrous metallurgy) - producers, consumers, traders;
- potential investors.
The proposed research claims to be a reference tool for marketing services and specialists who make management decisions in the market of semi-coke production.
