    This report is the third edition of a study of the market for lithium and its compounds in Russia and the world.

    The market has been monitored since 2000.

    The purpose of the study is to analyze the market of lithium and its compounds - world and Russian, as well as the chains of its redistribution in aircraft construction, the nuclear industry, the production of lithium-ion batteries, plastic lithium greases, etc.

    The objects of research are lithium-containing ores and brines, lithium-containing mineral concentrates, various lithium compounds, and metallic lithium.

    This work is a desk study. The sources of information were data from Rosstat, the Federal Customs Service of the Russian Federation, statistics of railway transportation of the Russian Federation, materials from the US State Geological Survey (USGS), data from the UNdata database, industry and regional press, annual and quarterly reports of securities issuers, as well as Internet sites manufacturers of lithium and its compounds.

    Chronological scope of the study: 2000-2020; forecast - 2021-2030

    Geography of research: the world market is briefly considered, the market of the Russian Federation - in detail

    The report consists of 9 parts, contains 201 pages, including 55 tables, 51 figures and 5 appendices.

    The first chapter of the report is devoted to the mineral resource base of lithium and types of lithium raw materials. Methods for processing lithium raw materials are described.

    The second chapter examines the production of lithium products abroad in 2000-2020. The information on the world production of lithium raw materials, prices for lithium products is given. The companies that are the largest producers of lithium compounds and raw materials are described. In addition, the main world projects to increase the production of lithium and the production of its compounds are considered.

    The third chapter of the report is devoted to the lithium mineral resource base in the Russian Federation. Brief characteristics of balance deposits of lithium, as well as promising raw material objects are given.

    The fourth chapter analyzes foreign trade operations with lithium and its compounds in 2000-2020. The data on the volumes of export and import of the studied products are given, the regional structure of supplies is estimated.

    The fifth chapter provides information on the production of lithium and lithium compounds in Russia in 2000-2020. The main manufacturers are considered. GOSTs and TUs for manufactured lithium products are presented.

    The sixth chapter of the report is devoted to the consumption of lithium and its compounds in Russia. The enterprises-consumers of lithium products are described. The calculation of the balance of production and consumption of lithium and its compounds in 2001-2020 is given.

    The seventh chapter of the report shows the structure of consumption of lithium and its compounds by industry in 2020.

    The eighth chapter of the report is devoted to the description of programs for the development of the lithium industry in the Russian Federation and new projects.

    The ninth chapter of the report contains a forecast of the consumption of lithium and its compounds in Russia until 2030.

    The appendices contain contact information for producers and consumers of lithium and its compounds.
