    This report is the first edition of the study of markets for caustic soda and chlorine-containing products in the Siberian Federal District of the Russian Federation.

     

    The purpose of the study is to analyze the markets for caustic soda and chlorine-containing products.

    The subject of the study are caustic soda, hydrochloric acid, aluminum polyoxichloride and highly active sodium hypochlorite.

    This work is a desk study. As sources of information, the data of the Federal State Statistics Service of Russia (Rosstat), the Federal Customs Service of the Russian Federation (FCS of the Russian Federation), customs statistics and statistics of rail transportation were used. The data of the sectoral and regional press, annual and quarterly reports of securities issuers, Internet sites of manufacturing enterprises (suppliers) and consumers of copper scrap were also attracted; the InfoMine database was used; conference materials.

    The main chronological scope of the study: 2013-2017

    Geography of the study: Siberian Federal District of the Russian Federation.

     

    Scope of the research: the report consists 4 sections, each section contains 6 chapters, in a report of 148 pages, including 80 tables, 35 figures, 1 appendix.

     

    The first section is devoted to the study of the market of caustic soda.

    The first chapter gives the definition of caustic soda, its physical and chemical properties, describes methods of production, aggregate states.

    The second chapter is devoted to the description of the market of caustic soda in the Siberian Federal District, the volume of the market in kind and in money terms, the market segmentation by consumption sectors, the trends in the development of each consumption sector, the barriers to entering the market of a new producer, as well as the main drivers of the development of this market .
